My dream has been to provide reliable, quality payroll and bookkeeping services to the Northwest Territories. I moved to Yellowknife as a young child and love the chilly winters, midnight sun in the summers, and the adventures Yellowknife has offered. I believe in life long learning, and am usually taking some kind of webinar or online course!

My main expertise is in payroll and QuickBooks. I am a certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner with the Canadian Payroll Association and QuickBooks ProAdvisor. I've been working in payroll for 10 years and have almost 15 years of experience in bookkeeping from small business to non-profit in the educational field.

The dream of starting my own business came to me one night as I was working remotely from home. Schools were closed, and the pandemic was in full force. My days were filled with juggling google meetings, homeschooling my two young children and house training our new family puppy! Late evenings were the best time for me to put my nose to the grind stone and get the most work done without interruptions.

Working late into the night with the glow of my computer monitors, conjured up images of Bob Cratchit working late on a cold snowy night next to a camp light. Dedicated and optimistic and doing what he could to provide for his family really spoke to me. This image has inspired me to start Camp Light Bookkeeping.
